NOT ALONE, NOT EVEN IN A CROWD
Sometimes encouragement comes unexpectedly and from a total stranger. I’ve had my music on YouTube and now streaming for quite a few years, but haven’t gotten comments until recently, but the comment I got last night really blessed and encouraged me. It was on one of my songs that I recorded live and didn’t have very many views at all. It’s a story of not being alone, even when you’re in a crowd and feeling that way. I do pray for the folks who comment on my songs. It feels so good to be able to encourage others. We are all going through something.
I filmed this live version of HONEY I LOVE YOU in the midst of doing 54 music shows at the Homewood Suites we were staying at for over a year in The Woodlands, Texas, North Houston. I have another studio-quality lyric video of the song. I filmed this one on a 24-degree day, in the midst of it snowing at Garden of the God’s Park in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in March of 2020.
The person who commented said they were praying for me. They knew I had gone through surgery recently as well. They shared a scripture with me that was right on in where we are right now. They also shared another scripture of encouragement which really touched me deeply. It’s one thing when a friend shares something with you, but when the Lord uses a stranger, it just adds so much more to it, not that the friend’s word is any less.
We are never alone. The Lord is always with us whether we know Him or not. He’s always waiting for us to invite Him in our lives and heart so He can help. I have another music video along the same message called NOT ALONE. I filmed it in Garden of the Gods too. Sometimes, I play my songs over and over so that I can get these messages into my heart, especially when I’m struggling a bit. I share them in case others might be going through the same or similar things.
I am sitting in a hole in the Siamese Twins rocks with Pikes Peak behind me. It’s such an incredible view! When we were there, I’d take my guitar up there and just practice sometimes. It was great!
I hope this helps a lot of folks out there. Keep going! He has a plan for your life and He’s written it in a special book He wrote just for you. All we have to do is ask Him every day what He has planned for us. We don’t need to worry about tomorrow, because things change every day. The world might be a different place tomorrow which alters our situation extensively. Sometimes blessings come unexpectedly and the circumstances are very different. Trust, hope, grace, mercy, favor, and peace to you all.
